The Ministry Graduate Program offers hands-on ministry leadership experience as well as the chance to complete graduate-level courses for credit. This tailored curriculum allows students to further follow ministry passions in unique settings.
Academics
The Ministry Graduate Program requires thirty credit hours for completion. Each student must successfully complete twelve credit hours in the fall and spring semesters. Additionally, students must complete two three-credit-hour internships.

Below are categories from which a Ministry Graduate student may choose. Students will declare their interest before entering the program.
Three (3) 500 SPIR credits
Spiritual Life and Leadership – taken for WS credit, taught on campus by IBC instructor
Three (3) credits 300/400 BB/SYTH/HIST
Global History of Christianity
Three (3) LEAD credits (possibly six)
Communication and Leadership (LEAD520) – enrolled in WS (online)
Strategic Leadership and Management (LEAD454) – enrolled in WS (online)
Students may choose from any 400-level course offered at Indiana Bible College.
OR
Student Course Creation (Part 1)
There is a potential course creation and teaching path. During the Fall Semester, the student researches and creates a curriculum under the direction of the program director for a 200/300 level course that the student will teach in the Spring Semester.

Student Course Creation (Part 2)
Upon completing Part 1, the student will teach the course created as an offering during the spring semester. The student is expected to manage the classroom, assign and grade assignments while offering constructive feedback to aid those enrolled in the learning process.
Internship (6 Credits)

Six Total Credits
Students enrolled in the Ministry Graduate program must complete six (6) credit hours of practicum-based internship.Summer internship (three credit hours)
This eight to ten-week internship is designed to allow students to minister in various ministry settings while off-campus. The internship location will be approved by the students’ pastor and program director. Below are options for student consideration:
Home church. The internship is set up with the student’s home church pastor, and check-ins happen with the instructor weekly.
Church plant. The internship is set up at an IBC approved church plant, and check-ins happen with the instructor weekly.
Established church. The internship is set up at an established work, and check-ins happen with the instructor weekly.
Parachurch organization. The internship is set up at an IBC approved parachurch organization, and check-ins happen with the instructor weekly.
School Year Internship
This internship lasts one semester (16 weeks) and is designed to allow students to minister in various ministry settings while on-campus. Locations of the students’ internships will be approved by both the Dean of Students and the program director. Below are options for student consideration:
Calvary Tabernacle. The intern serves 10-15 hours per week at a Calvary Tabernacle campus (Indianapolis, Camby, or Greenwood). The campus pastor or ministry leader sets expectations and goals. It is recommended that students preach, teach, or lead worship at least once a month.
Indiana Bible College. The intern serves 10-15 hours per week at Indiana Bible College. When pairing the intern with a department, the student’s interests will be considered alongside institutional needs (Academic, Admin, BB, CL, MS, Promo, and WS). The department leader sets expectations and goals. It is recommended that students are able to be a part of appropriate meetings and planning sessions.
Calvary Christian School. The intern serves 10-15 hours per week at Calvary Christian School. When pairing the intern with a department, the student’s interest will be considered alongside institutional needs. The department leader sets expectations and goals. It is recommended that students are able to be a part of appropriate meetings and planning sessions.
Flex Option. Pending approval and availability, students may select to shadow a hospital Chaplain, community worker, or another ministry leader. Students who desire to pursue this internship should submit an outline of who they would like to intern with and a brief description of why to the program director.
